What Autism Can Teach Us about Difference, Connection and Belonging
In this book Jodi shares stories from her expansive career working within the autistic community and calls for a more inclusive and accepting society, where we are more empathetic and curious about all the relationships in our lives.
Jodi's book explores the powerful impact of embracing neurodiversity and forming meaningful connections with all those around us.
Each chapter highlights a different story and an aspect of human behaviour including:
-
How we perceive the world, and our own unique experience of thinking, sensing and feeling
-
How we communicate our perspective to others, understand one another and express ourselves, and
-
How we can better connect with one another
With dozens of moving stories, Jodi's book will give readers a deeper understanding of and appreciation for the neurodiverse community around them. Above all, it will inspire a profound sense of belonging, revealing that we’re much more similar than we think and that all of our differences are worth celebrating.
Let's Meet (Australia and NZ)
A visual guide to dating, consent, and connection designed for neurodivergent minds, but empowering for all.
Let's Meet is an accessible graphic novel guide to the basics of dating for people who are neurodivergent or anyone starting their dating life who wants simple tips.
It follows Harry and Lucy, two neurodivergent characters who find
half of a dating guide each and slowly piece it together while
learning how to build meaningful relationships. Along the way,
they discover what it means to meet others with kindness, clarity,
and courage.
Written in a clear, accessible way and brought to life through expressive illustrations, Let’s Meet is perfect for those just starting to navigate dating and relationships, especially people who benefit from direct communication and visual storytelling.
Jodi Rodgers and Kelvin Wong have been creative partners for over six years. Their collaboration began when Kelvin, a neurodivergent artist, shared sketches and ideas with Jodi, whose decades of work in relationships and neurodiversity inspired her to turn their ideas into something practical and empowering. The result is a book built on mutual respect, shared purpose, and a deep understanding of how representation and clear communication can change lives. Together, they’ve crafted a resource that is as heartfelt as it is helpful.
